A Cohesive Research Agenda

Our work begins with the descriptive research necessary to help professionalize crypto markets. Their real-time dynamic correlation structure, empirical drivers of offering outcomes, market sentiment and sector-specific surveys are examples.

This work is necessary to maximize risk-adjusted profits, and to build the economic models that make token-based ecosystems work in the real world. It is also a stepping stone towards building advanced algorithmic tools for investors and token-issuing firms’ open market operations.

The data environment of blockchain is unique.  As we begin to develop a larger literature and body of code, each step along the way is valuable.  The end goal, however, is to cross-reference the blockchain itself with other data sources, thereby creating a real-time understanding of crypto markets that dwarfs what was possible in older market contexts.
